It is recommended to use vilene stabilizer, or a woven wash-away stabilizer for best results. The "film" kind of stabilizer tends to stretch and gets the design off registration, resulting in poor quality.

TIP: If you put 2 or 3 layers of the "film-type" plastic wash-away stabilizer between two large pieces of paper and iron without steam, this will strengthen and stiffen that type stabilizer. Don't let it touch your iron!
