Before constructing your basket you can customize your gift with a family initial on one of the corners of the napkin. (see image below)

Starting with a 20"x20" napkin, fold all corners to the center.

Pin 3"- 4" from each folded corner. (The greater width from the corner you place your pin - the deeper and smaller your final napkin basket will be.) Then pull the corner together at the pins and pin together.

Cut two 8" pieces of your choice of ribbon for each corner.

Finger fold the ends of each ribbon then hand stitch the ribbons together on each side of the corners.

Tie ribbon at top of corner.

Then tie a bow toward the side of each corner. Roll your towels such that designs are on top. Tie a larger ribbon around the whole basket and embellish. Makes a great gift. Take out the stitches on the corners and you have a great bread basket cloth.
