Illustrated Instructions for Stitching on Paper

You will need temporary spray adhesive for fabric or paper (I used Dritz. It can be removed from frame with rubbing alcohol.). You need cut-away stabilizer, and your decorative paper. Hoop only the stabilizer taut.

Spray adhesive onto stabilizer.
Position your decorative paper. With temporary adhesive you can reposition paper if needed. Press paper in place securely. I also tape down the free edge so as not to catch on any part of the machine while stitching.
Position hoop with design centered on right half of paper to create a card.
Stitch design. I usually use a slow speed on my machine to stitch on the delicate paper.
When stitching is complete remove hoop from machine, remove carfully the tape from the edge of the paper, unhoop stabilizer. On the back carfully cut away excess stabilizer. To cover this exposed back you can use permanent glue to add a piece of decorative paper. Fold paper in half and you have your card.
And there you have unique, expressive cards to add just the right words.
Many times I add a piece of vellum paper to the inside to write a message on.
