You will need temporary spray adhesive for fabric (I used Dritz. It can be removed from frame with rubbing alcohol.). You need tear-away stabilizer, and your decorative ribbon. It is helpful to have a grid beneath your hooping as pictured to the left. Hoop only the stabilizer taut.

Line up frame to be even with lines of grid. Spray adhesive onto stabilizer.

Position your decorative ribbon along lines of grid. With temporary adhesive you can reposition ribbon if needed.
Press ribbon in place securely.

Position hoop with design centered along line of ribbon.
Stitch out word. Tear away from stabilizer.

Tie your bow for packages,
holiday items, door trim, etc..
